CLASS 1 DRIVER

THREE WEEK ROTATING SHIFTS, ACROSS SEVEN DAYS (WEEKENDS INCLUDED)

• AM start bands between 0100-0400
• PM start bands between 1800-2000

PAY RATE: £17.00 - £25.50 PER HOUR

Rates of Pay:

• Basic up to 48 hours: £17.00 per hour
• Overtime after 48 hours: £25.50 per hour.

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:

• Trunking work, depot to depot.
• Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all goods are loaded and secured properly
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assist with loaded and unloading of goods as needed

Essential Skills

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
• Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving CE vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
• Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
• Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial

Training

• Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
• After successful Assessment, there will be a one day paid induction
