HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER
MONDAY TO FRIDAY / TUESDAY TO SATURDAY (ROTATING)
START TIMES BETWEEN: 03:00 – 06:00 or 15:00 – 18:00
£17.00 - £24.87 PER HOUR
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in the Warrington, Cheshire.

Rates of Pay:
- Mon - Fri Days: £17.00 per hour basic / overtime (after 45 hours) £20.95 per hour
- Nights: £18.46 per hour / overtime (after 45 hours) £21.81 per hour
- Sat and Sun Days: £23.81 per hour
- Sat and Sun Nights: £24.87 per hour
Day to Day Duties
Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:
- Driving various Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
- Completing 3-4 store deliveries per day
- Ensuring all loads are safe and secure
- Assist with loading and unloading of vehicle
- Adhering to site specific risk assessments
- Provide quality customer service
- Ensure vehicles checks are completed before and after shift
- Report any issues to line manager
Essential Skills
As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:
- Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
- Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving CE vehicles
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
- Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
- Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
- Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
- Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
- Experience within a CE role, making store deliveries would be desirable
Training
- You must pass a written and physical driving assessment
- Drug & Alcohol Test must also be passed
- If the above is passed, you will receive a full paid Induction
