Proactive Personnel are looking for HGV CLASS 1 DRIVERS with 6 MONTHS EXPERIENCE to work for an established client in the Warrington area. You will be doing 1-3 store deliveries for 05:00 AND 16:00 starts any day from Monday to Sunday are available. Morning Shifts will be chilled goods and afternoons will be 16:00 trunks with dry ambient goods.FREE ONSITE CANTEEN FOR DRIVERS BEFORE AND AFTER SHIFTS

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Tail lift vehicle to deliver goods to designated locations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensuring the chilled system is working and on
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues as necessary.
  • Load and unload goods with an electric pump truck, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • A valid commercial driving licence is essential for this position.
  • Familiarity with operating flatbed vehicles is advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members.
