Science Teacher

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality science lessons in line with the national curriculum, tailored to engage and challenge students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable).
  • Create an inspiring and inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning science.
  • Assess, record, and report on pupil progress regularly, using data to inform your teaching and support student development.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and discipline, promoting a respectful and focused classroom culture.
  • Prepare students for internal and external assessments, including GCSEs, through revision strategies, exam techniques, and targeted support.
  • Stay up to date with developments in science education, integrating new technologies, research, and pedagogical approaches where appropriate.
  • Ensure health and safety protocols are followed in all laboratory work, including proper use of equipment and materials.
