A people-focused, charitable organisation, currently seeking a People & Culture Director to join their growing business on a permanent basis. This organisation has experienced significant growth, boasts fantastic retention rates, and continues to expand.

Your New Role

As People and Culture Director, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive and engaging work environment, focusing on employee development and wellbeing. You will provide expert advice on people-related matters, ensuring employees and managers feel supported and valued.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating as part of the Senior Leadership Team, working closely with the CEO and directors across the business.
  • Developing and implementing people plans and strategies.
  • Leading employee development initiatives and wellbeing workshops.
  • Conducting senior-level headhunting and managing talent.
  • Providing advice and support to directors and junior team members.
  • Acting as the EDI and safeguarding lead.
  • Overseeing policy work and minimal change management.
  • Examining organisational structure and identifying staffing needs.
  • Ensuring the wellbeing of staff and fostering a good culture.

What You Will Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strategic HR experience operating at a senior level, paired with operational/hands-on HR expertise.
  • A passion for fostering a positive work environment and living the organisation's values.
  • Ability to work closely with senior leadership and directors.
  • Experience in employee development and talent management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of HR systems.
  • CIPD qualification L5 minimum. (L7 Desirable).
