NEOS Engineering is proudly recruiting on behalf of a leading UK organisation for an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on H&S professional who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working closely with clients across diverse project environments.
Key Responsibilities-
Develop and implement safe operational procedures, identifying hazards across all project sites.

Ensure all contractors are fully inducted and adhere to site safety requirements.

Act as CDM Site Manager/Principal Contractor when required, overseeing all project H&S activities.

Issue and manage Permits to Work, including General, Hot Work, Confined Space, and Excavation.

Conduct and regularly review risk assessments to maintain safe working practices.

Provide specialist advice on fire safety, hazardous substances, noise, machinery safeguarding, CDM 2015, and occupational health.

Carry out site audits and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Deliver tailored H&S support, training, and guidance to clients.

Produce comprehensive management reports detailing progress, risks, and required actions.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HSE legislation and industry changes.

Support clients through accreditation and compliance audit processes.

Based in the Northwest, commutable to Birchwood Park.

NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (essential).

Strong experience in a similar Health & Safety role, ideally including CDM site management.

Excellent understanding of current HSE legislation and best practice.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Positive “can-do” attitude with flexibility to travel as required.

Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.

Confident using Microsoft Office applications.

Able to engage effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.

Salary up to £38,000 (dependent on experience).
