Senior Control Engineer - Software Bias | Nuclear

Hybrid - 3 Days Warrington Office / 2 Days Remote
We're recruiting for a Senior Control Engineer to join a major nuclear project based in Warrington, supporting the SEP1 & 2 programmes. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to one of the UK's flagship Sellafield projects, working on complex, safety-critical control systems in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering, co-ordinating, and checking control-based work packages across multiple systems.
- Leading and guiding engineers to achieve demanding technical milestones (no line management responsibility).
- Developing design specifications and providing expert support during implementation.
- Reviewing and challenging control system requirements to ensure robust, compliant designs.
- Collaborating with system integrators, commissioning teams, and other key stakeholders.
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in PLC/SCADA control systems and network architecture.
- A strong software engineering bias, ideally with nuclear sector experience - Sellafield experience is highly desirable.
- Capable of prioritising workloads in a dynamic project environment.
- Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
- CEng/IEng status or equivalent experience would be advantageous.

Rate: 51-55 per hour (Inside IR35)
Clearance: Must be eligible to work on nuclear projects
