I am seeking a highly experienced Warehouse Manager to join our client’s warehousing and inventory operations. The client is based in Birchwood, Warrington and is hiring on a full-time, permanent basis.

Job Specification:

This hands-on, autonomous role is perfect for a proactive self-starter who thrives in a flat, fast-moving organisational structure. The successful candidate will take ownership of the daily operations at our central distribution hub and ensure efficient management of clinical stock across our nationwide locations.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee daily operations of the central warehouse, ensuring smooth, efficient, and secure management of clinical stock.
  • Develop and implement stock control systems and inventory technology suitable for a multi-site national network.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and perform regular audits.
  • Introduce barcoding, scanning, and real-time inventory management systems where appropriate.
  • Ensure full compliance with clinical storage requirements, including temperature control and security protocols.
  • Liaise with nationwide clinical sites to manage inbound and outbound logistics.
  • Manage stock levels, forecasting, replenishment cycles, and minimise waste.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure staff adherence.
  • Lead the roll-out of new inventory systems across all company locations.
  • Work closely with procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure stock aligns with wider business needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a stock control or warehouse management role, ideally within a clinical, pharmaceutical, or regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management systems, ERP/WMS platforms, and modern stock control technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience introducing and rolling out new systems across multi-site businesses.
  • Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong working knowledge of secure storage practices and distribution logistics.
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of the full warehouse function.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
  • Forklift licence (desirable but not essential).
