gap technical are supporting a leading national manufacturing business in their search for an Contract Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Warrington.
Key Responsibilities
- Support production by quickly responding to equipment breakdowns and performing scheduled maintenance.
- Proactively identify and correct recurring faults to drive long-term equipment reliability.
- Utilise technical documentation and machine history to diagnose issues efficiently.
- Foster strong working relationships with operations teams and provide flexible, hands-on support.
- Deliver training to production staff on basic maintenance tasks; assist with major repairs.
- Ensure all machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard.
- Actively contribute to reducing downtime and driving continuous improvement across the site.
Candidate Profile
- Time-served engineering apprenticeship (essential).
- Electrical bias with 17th Edition Wiring Regulations (minimum requirement).
- Experience in Food, FMCG, Automated Storage is advantageous, but not essential.
- Confident communicator with strong planning and organisational skills.
- PLC knowledge with formal training/certification preferred.
