Local primary schools are already planning their cover needs and are looking to book talented new teachers for day-to-day and short-term assignments. These roles are a great way to gain classroom experience and build relationships with local schools ahead of the new academic year.

Looking ahead to September 2025?Tradewind is also offering long-term placements from the start of the academic year, many of which can count towards your ECT induction year.

To apply, you'll need:

• To be on track to gain QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

• Availability to work once your course ends

• Two recent, relevant references from placements or employment

• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Child Workforce Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
