My client is currently looking for an Programme Manager (Site Delivery Planning) to be based in Warrington or Manchester.

Negotiable Contract Rates - Inside IR35
Contract Length: 6 months - likely to be extended

Role Purpose

The ‘Programme Manager - Site Delivery Planning’ will report to the Project Director, and manage a team to further develop and mature our plans for site delivery, ahead of execution.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation and mobilisation for the Stage 1 Delivery Team prior to GBN contract commencement.
  • Managing the Stage 1 scope related to preparation and planning for Stage 2.
  • Maturing Site-Specific procurement, logistics and construction assembly and commissioning plans.
  • Developing and maturing the Stage 2 Estimates (Cost, Risk and Schedule).
  • Developing the Long Lead Item justification.
  • Developing the Stage 2 Procurement and Contracting Strategy.


Training & Qualification requirements

  • Degree qualified in a STEM subject or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience of running significant engineering or infrastructure projects, preferably covering new product introduction.
  • PM, procurement and/or estimating qualification/accreditation is desirable.
  • A good general understanding of the UK nuclear industry, including licensing and regulation.
  • Experience of operating within an NEC contracting environment.


Project Management & Reporting

  • Demonstrable experience managing large, complex engineering or infrastructure projects with expertise in strategic planning, oversight and delivery of multiyear, multi-million-pound initiatives to time, quality and cost.
  • Strong relationship building skills are essential as the role will have significant interfaces with our client, within the business and with our key suppliers.
