Job Title: Senior Buyer / Buyer

Location: Warrington (with regional travel)

Package: Up to £60,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus

The Role

Join a leading UK housebuilder, taking a key role in the procurement of materials and plant for residential developments across Merseyside.

You will be responsible for the full procurement lifecycle, from negotiating with suppliers and placing orders to managing costs against budgets. This role involves working closely with the commercial and site teams to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget. For a Senior Buyer, this will also include mentoring an Assistant Buyer.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as a Buyer or Senior Buyer within the housebuilding or main contracting sector is essential.

  • A strong negotiator with excellent commercial acumen and a deep understanding of construction materials, methods, and building regulations.

  • Highly organised with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

  • While formal qualifications (HNC/Degree/CIPS) are desirable, your industry experience is paramount. Experience with COINS software is advantageous.
