Up-and-coming regional civil engineering contractor based in the heart of the Northwest looking to expand and strengthen their commercial team with the addition of an enthusiastic and personable Quantity Surveyor. This thriving contractor has skyrocketed to success with almost 10million in turnover in less than 2 years since founding. Headed up with a fantastic & supportive senior management team boasting over 70 years combined experience in the Groundworks & New house building industry, who want to "do it right from the beginning".
About the role of Quantity Surveyor
As the Quantity Surveyor, you will be reporting to the Commercial director and working with the wider commercial team. You will be involved in a variety of residential groundworks projects located all over the Northwest of England.
Examples of Projects & clients:
- Gleeson Homes - Roads & Sewers contract for a 40-unit site in Fleetwood
- Salboy - 80-unit site in Cornwall
- MCI - 70-unit site in Stoke
- Markden homes - 50-unit site in Stoke
- Various other smaller jobs - 9-10 units sites across Northwest region
Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor
- Site Take-offs & running live sites
- Own sites to manage & support
- Submitting applications
- Contract administration
- Reviewing drawings & site planning
- Managing Variations
Requirements for Quantity Surveyor
- Previous Civil Engineering sector experience as a Quantity Surveyor (of any level)
- Desirable (but non-essential) to have degree/qualifications prior civils Quantity Surveying experience key
- Preferable to have experience in residential and/or groundworks projects
- Enthusiastic & Eager to learn
- Full UK Drivers license (for site travel)
What we offer for Quantity Surveyor
- 50,000 - 55,000 p/a salary
- Car allowance or a Company Vehicle (reflective of Salary)
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
- Flexibility to WFH if required (standard is office/site based - NOT hybrid working
