Your new role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Warrington. This is a key opportunity to be involved in major projects valued at 10 million and above, across multiple sectors. You will take responsibility for all commercial aspects of project delivery, from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring strong financial performance and effective risk management.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing all commercial functions on allocated projects, ensuring profitability and financial targets are achieved.
  • Preparing cost forecasts, budgets, cash flows, and accurate financial reporting.
  • Managing procurement, tendering, and subcontractor packages.
  • Administering contracts, variations, and claims in accordance with NEC and JCT forms.
  • Providing commercial leadership and support to project teams and senior management.
  • Building strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain partners.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the commercial team.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Demonstrable experience as a Senior QS working for a Tier 1 main contractor.
  • Proven background in delivering projects across education, healthcare, industrial, and custodial sectors.
  • Experience on schemes valued 10m+.
  • Excellent knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent), ideally chartered or working towards RICS accreditation.
