New Product Development Technologist

Irlam

£30,000 - £35,000 DOE

Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm

KPI Recruiting have partnered with an established manufacturing business who are looking for an NPD Technologist to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. You will be directly reporting to the NPD Manager and have the opportunity to shape the creation and development of new and exciting products.

You will be:

  • Integrating ingredient & recipe information into company systems
  • Generating and overseeing documentation for Product Development
  • Ensuring ingredient approval processes are followed
  • Collaborating with Quality Assurance and Production for smooth project transitions
  • Liaising with ingredient suppliers and obtaining legal advice
  • Supporting cost-saving and optimisation projects
  • Working with Purchasing on ingredient and flavouring procurement
  • Managing trials and new liquid development with flavour houses
  • Providing liquid information for labels across different markets
  • Organising shelf life and sensory trials for new products and ingredients

You will have:

  • Have experience working in a technical/NPD/specifications role within a food/drink manufacturing environment
  • Good administration skills
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills are essential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to maintain a high level of discipline with the daily adherence to product quality
  • Able to work on own initiative with little or no supervision
  • Demonstrable experience of working as part of a team and working cross functionally
