 Control Systems Engineer

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Control Systems Engineer with a background in industrial automation to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and programming automation solutions using Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation), Siemens, and Mitsubishi control systems.

 

This role involves the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of control software for a wide range of industrial automation applications. You will play a key role in delivering innovative solutions across both in-house projects and client-facing systems.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Control Systems Engineer:

  • Design, develop, and test control software for machines and plant systems using PLCs and HMI interfaces. 
  • Program, configure, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Mitsubishi control systems. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical and mechanical engineers to integrate systems. 
  • Develop HMI/SCADA configurations tailored to specific project requirements. 
  •  Create and maintain technical documentation, including FDS, system architecture, and user manuals. 
  • Participate in system upgrades, retrofits, and continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Ensure software solutions meet safety, performance, and quality standards. 

 

Requirements of the Control Systems Engineer:

  • Bachelors degree in software engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 
  •  3 years of experience in control systems programming.
  • Strong programming skills with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens TIA Portal and Mitsubishi iQ Developer / GX Works.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus, etc.). 
  • Experience with HMI/SCADA systems (FactoryTalk, WinCC, etc.). 
  • Understanding of electrical schematics and control panel design is advantageous.
