Job description

Exciting part-time opportunity for a Finance Assistant looking to advance their career and gain valuable experience. Located in Warrington, Woolston, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while developing your skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Duties:

  • Billing: Daily bank reconciliation, process bills, manage client invoices, monitor client mileage & expenses, reconcile hours billed vs paid, manage Direct Debit process, and handle billing queries.
  • Payroll: Process starters and leavers, manage payroll preparation, update pay rates, maintain holiday accrual, ensure accurate on-call payments, and manage the on boarding of new staff.
  • Purchasing: Ensure stock levels are maintained, reconcile payments on Xero, process supplier invoice payments, and manage purchase reports.
  • Petty Cash: Maintain office petty cash system.
  • Accounts: Assist in preparing management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports, perform regular bank reconciliations, and manage contract renewals.

Person Specification:

  • Experience in invoicing, payroll, and accounts management
  • Proficient in Xero financial software
  • Relevant bookkeeping qualifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional and a good team player
