About the Role

We're seeking a creative and compassionate SEN Arts Teacher to join our nature-based Forest School in Warrington. Starting in September 2025, you'll deliver inspiring arts lessons-integrating visual arts, drama, and expressive activities-tailored to students with a range of SEN needs (e.g., ASD, SEMH, ADHD).



Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and teach creative arts lessons using indoor and outdoor environments

  • Adapt learning to support individual needs and EHCP goals

  • Work collaboratively with the SENCO, support staff, and families

  • Encourage self-expression, confidence, and emotional well-being through art

  • Track progress and contribute to reviews and reports



Requirements

  • QTS or relevant teaching qualification

  • SEN teaching experience

  • Strong background in arts (visual, drama, expressive)

  • Passion for outdoor learning and holistic education

  • Creative, empathetic, and adaptable approach



Desirable

  • Forest School or outdoor education experience

  • Training in trauma-informed or therapeutic practices
