Are you a versatile developer who enjoys variety and solving real business challenges? We’re looking for a Software Developer who can bring technical expertise and creativity to a busy IT team. You’ll play a key role in shaping and supporting applications, databases, and systems that keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.
This isn’t a narrow coding role - you’ll work across multiple projects, using different technologies depending on the challenge at hand. If you like problem-solving, collaborating with colleagues, and seeing your solutions make a real impact, this could be the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse existing systems and suggest practical improvements
- Work closely with analysts, designers, and business users to create tailored solutions
- Write clean, efficient code and produce clear technical specifications
- Test and implement systems in real-world environments
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Create user guides and deliver training when required
Key Requirements:
- Strong SQL skills, ideally including SSRS, SQL Server 2016, and SQL Integration Service
- Proficiency with MS Access, MS Excel (inc. VBA), and Office automation
- Experience with Visual Studio (.NET, ASP.NET, C#)
- Knowledge of Windows Server environments () and IIS
- Familiarity with web portals (HTTPS)
- Background in IT project delivery and multi-project environments
- Bonus: exposure to AI-based solutions in a technical or scientific setting
Qualifications
- A relevant degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience
- MPPV clearance (Client will fund)
