Your new companyHays Recruitment are proud to be supporting a Warrington-based SEN school that supports pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs aged between 8 - 16 as they are looking to appoint a number of motivated and reliable teaching assistants for long-term contracts. This school is ideally looking for people that are able to commit to a long-term full-time basis, but part-time applications are being considered.Your new roleAs a teaching assistant within this school you will be joining a team of extremely supportive and welcoming educational professionals. You work alongside the class teachers to offer a stimulating and engaging learning environment by utilising an array of learning equipment and implementing a myriad of positive behaviour strategies. Across the school, you will be supporting your pupils on a 1:1 basis, tailoring your approach to best suit their needs (attainment and emotional) and actively encouraging them to partake in learning material, which will intern enable you to build strong constructive relationships. As you will be supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs you will be required to closely monitor their triggers.What you'll need to succeedTo be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" on the UK as well a minimum of 40 days referenceable teaching assistant experience within the last 2 years, as well as:

  • Experience implementing positive behaviour strategies
  • Experience supporting SEMH, trauma and/or behavioural needs
