SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant - Warrington (WA4) - Immediate Start - Long-Term to Permanent

Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a welcoming mainstream primary school to recruit a Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position. This rewarding role is available for an immediate start, with the potential to become permanent for the right individual.

The Role:

This is a full-time role supporting a bright and articulate pupil on a 1:1 basis, who presents with social, emotional and behavioural needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a calm, firm but fair approach and have a proven ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure the pupil is fully supported both academically and emotionally.

The Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Have previous experience supporting pupils with SEN and/or challenging behaviour

  • Remain calm under pressure, with strong behaviour management skills

  • Show empathy, resilience and commitment to helping children thrive

  • Be confident working independently as well as part of a wider team

  • Team Teach or similar de-escalation training is highly desirable
