About the Role:
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring high-speed production equipment operates at peak efficiency. Working on a rotating days/night shift pattern, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform reactive and planned maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems
- Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Maintain accurate records using CMMS and contribute to root cause analysis
- Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment reliability and performance
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and quality standards
Requirements:
- Time-served engineer with NVQ Level 4 /HNC or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering discipline
- Proven experience in a continuous process, manufacturing environment
- Proven experience with electrical control, PLC & automation systems
- Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and continuous improvement tools (e.g. 5S, Kaizen)
- Flexible, team-oriented, and committed to high standards of work
