Questech Automotive Recruitment are seeking a skilled Workshop technician / Motor Mechanic / Vehicle Fitter / Vehicle technician to join a dynamic team in a successful company who reward skill and dedication with ongoing training, career progression and a supportive team culture.
We are looking for Technicians/mechanics/Engineer from a Commercial, HGV or PSV background.
Hours: Monday to Friday - 07:00 to 15:30 (40 hours per week)
Salary: £37,396
Requirements:
- Will accept Level 2 upwards or time served
- An understanding of mechanical systems. (Hydraulics / Pnuematics)
- Knowledge of fabrication and welding techniques.
- Hands-on experience with repairing, refurbishing, and maintaining mechanical equipment.
- Attention to detail for quality control and recording information accurately.
The Role:
- Electrical, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation
- Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment
- Support workshops team members including Apprentice Technicians as required.
- Accurately record time to complete jobs and associated details
- Use of skills and performance of other work within normal grade/job skills as required by the Workshop Supervisor to maximise workshop efficiency
- Perform fabrication and welding
- Refurbishing and maintaining the plant and vehicles,
- Conducting pre-delivery inspections, and supporting workshop activities.
