The ideal candidate will be reliable with a strong work ethic and someone who can fit in with our existing team of four other warehouse members, being able to work as part of this team but also being able to work independently following their own initiative is extremely necessary. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment and capable of meeting targets reliably. You'll play a key part in ensuring orders are prepared accurately and on time ensuring that customer satisfaction is at its highest. In the role you will be reporting to the Warehouse Team Leader and ensuring that all stock is handled, stored and packed in a safe working environment. You will also be performing other duties such as despatching samples for customers, removal of waste from around the warehouse to keep a tidy and safe environment, cycle stock counts and general ad hoc duties. This is a busy and hands on role and you will be required to keep in regular contact with logistics and Operations departments. You will be dealing with bathroom goods ranging from brassware to resin shower trays so someone who is physically fit is a must.Main Tasks
- Pick stock as prioritised in the line with dispatch deadlines ensuring that maximum customer satisfaction is achieved
- Keep stock continuously replenished in the aisles to ensure continued levels of efficiency in the business
- Offloading and locating deliveries in the warehouse keeping to a high level of stock accuracy
- Checking and signing for deliveries in line with supplier documentation
- Highlighting any stock queries and shortages ensuring that the warehouse log is kept up to date with stock movements
- Keeping the warehouse tidy by disposal of waste in all forms making sure they are disposed of in the correct manner
- Assist in the loading of stock keeping to a controlled and efficient manner making sure they are ready for delivery to the customer
- Adhering to the current and future health, safety and environment policy and continually supporting the creation of a center of excellence
- Assist in annual stock takes
- Have a flexible approach to working hours dependent on the needs of the business to meet company expectations.
Do you have these skills/qualifications?
- 2+ years' experience in a similar role is required
- Good IT literacy
- FLT license would be advantageous but not necessary as training will be provided for the right candidate
- Own transport is a must
Hours/Availability expectationsThis role is a full-time role requiring you to work Monday-Friday 8 hour shift plus breaks. You may be required to work out of hours when the need arises, for example the annual stock take. Own transport is required as there is minimal public transport access.Benefits
