You will be joining an industry-leading civil engineering contractor based in Birmingham specialising in delivering major large-scale infrastructure projects across the Midlands region. This multi-accredited and established contractor is well-known for their commitment to quality, safety and innovation as well as valuing its people and investing in their growth. Due to continued success, they are seeking a Senior Site Engineer to join their delivery team.
This is a full-time permanent position based in the Warwickshire area.
Your new role
As Senior Site Engineer, you will be responsible for setting out, quality control, and managing site operations related to drainage, groundworks, and fibre-reinforced concrete structures. You'll play a key part in delivering essential infrastructure works, working closely with subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure project success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and implementing safety documentation (RAMS)
- Monitoring progress and maintaining detailed site records
- Ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards
- Conducting inspections and quality checks (ITPs, NCRs, DOWLs)
- Using GPS, total stations, and laser levels for accurate setting out
- Supporting quality handover and readiness reviews.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will bring:
- A degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field (or experience equivalent)
- Proven experience in drainage, groundworks and fibre-reinforced concrete (FRC) works
- A valid CSCS card (essential); SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable)
- Strong technical skills in AutoCAD, GPS and surveying equipment
- A proactive mindset with a commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
