About the Role:
As part of the MPD within the Transformation & Major Projects Directorate, you will play a vital role in ensuring that major projects align with strategic goals while upholding high delivery standards. Collaborate with passionate professionals and contribute to creating effective solutions that drive success!

Key Accountabilities:
In this role, you will:

  • Facilitate Workshops: Own and lead workshops and stakeholder interviews to gather and validate business requirements.
  • Translate Needs: Convert complex business needs into clear, concise functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with delivery teams to ensure solutions meet business goals and are delivered on time.
  • Engage Stakeholders: Collect business, technology, and service requirements from diverse stakeholders.
  • Document Processes: Analyse requirements from functional and technical perspectives and document workflows and system usage.
  • Drive Improvement: Identify process inefficiencies and recommend enhancements for continuous improvement.
  • Support UAT: Define acceptance criteria and assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions.
  • Ensure Compliance: Align with GDPR and organisational security guidelines while supporting data validation and system testing.

About You:

  • Have experience in change management or transformation programmes.
  • Possess proven experience in a business analysis role, ideally within the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Excel in stakeholder engagement with strong communication skills, able to influence at all levels.
  • Can lead conversations to successful conclusions while working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Are experienced in facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, and documenting processes.
  • Have familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Proficiently use tools like Visio, JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
  • Bring an analytical mindset with a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Have experience working in cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Desirable: Professional Business Analysis Certification (e.g., IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional, BCS Foundation/Diploma).
  • Essential: Proven experience in Business Analysis with a strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Essential: Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
  • Essential: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Essential: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Essential: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
