Are you an experienced events organiser looking for an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact? Our client is seeking a dynamic External Events Organiser to join their Strategic Energy Planning Engagement team for a fixed term of 7 months, with the potential for extension! This is your chance to shine by meticulously planning and executing in-person events across Great Britain that engage a wide range of stakeholders.

Location: Warwick (mostly remote with occasional travel to various event sites if required)
Compensation: Highly competitive Umbrella Day Rate or Salary available for suitable candidates

About the Role:

As an External Events Organiser, you will be at the forefront of an ambitious initiative to engage stakeholders in the energy sector. Your role will involve:

  • Event Planning and Coordination: Develop comprehensive plans for 11 in-person events, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Communication and Promotion: Collaborate with the SEP Engagement team to create promotional materials and strategies that enhance event attendance and impact.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Budget Management: Oversee event budgets, negotiate with vendors, and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
  • Participant Coordination: Manage the registration process, including invitations and RSVPs, to ensure all attendees are well-informed.
  • On-Site Management: Execute events seamlessly on the ground, promptly addressing any arising issues.
  • Feedback Analysis: Collect and analyse participant feedback to evaluate the success of events and inform future planning.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in planning and coordinating events for 150+ participants, with a strong grasp of logistics from start to finish.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, capable of managing multiple events simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal abilities to engage seamlessly with external organisations and venues.
