We are now seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager – Management Accounts to lead our management accounting function and provide high-quality financial insight across the organisation.The RoleReporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, you will be responsible for the production of accurate, timely, and meaningful management accounts. You will work closely with operational and senior leaders, ensuring they have the information they need to make sound financial and strategic decisions. This is a hands-on and high-impact role, combining leadership of the management accounts team with direct business partnering across the organisation.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with internal policies.
  • Provide insightful analysis of financial performance, highlighting risks, opportunities, and key drivers.
  • Partner with budget holders and senior leaders, supporting effective financial planning and decision-making.
  • Manage the month-end process, ensuring deadlines are met and reporting standards are maintained.
  • Oversee the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Develop, coach, and inspire a high-performing management accounts team.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting systems, processes, and controls.
About YouYou will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with significant experience in management accounting and financial analysis. You will bring strong technical skills, alongside the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders constructively.In addition, you will have:
  • Proven experience in leading and developing finance teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to explain financial information in a clear and engaging way.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in the people services, not-for-profit, or regulated sector (desirable).
