What You Will Do:

• Lead the integration of surface materials and technologies from concept to production readiness.

• Collaborate with designers, suppliers, and engineering teams to ensure materials meet aesthetic, functional, and manufacturing requirements.

• Create and monitor detailed timing plans, ensuring all deliverables align with programme gateways.

• Develop both physical and digital specifications for materials, tracking performance and ensuring compliance with production standards.

• Facilitate travel to supplier and manufacturing sites across the UK, with occasional overseas visits to support material development.

• Provide expert guidance on manufacturing technologies and methods of assembly for new materials.

What You Will Bring:

• Proven experience in the field of materials and technologies, ideally within the automotive or product design sectors.

• Strong project management skills, including the ability to create and monitor timing plans effectively.

• A keen eye for design, with excellent aesthetic judgement, colour vision, and perception.

• Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

• A relevant degree or equivalent experience, coupled with a valid UK driving licence for travel requirements.
