Position: Internal Communications Specialist

Salary: £18.41 p/h (£35896 annual) - negotiable DOE

Location: Leamington Spa (Warwick side) – candidate must be within at least 1 hour commute

Our client is looking for a temporary Internal Communications Specialist for extra support while they are onboarding/recruiting a new permanent member of staff

About the Role:  You will work closely with the Internal Communications Manager to create and deliver engaging content that supports our communication strategy. Your work will help keep our colleagues informed and connected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Produce high-quality written and visual content for newsletters, presentations, townhalls, events, and digital channels like Intranet, SharePoint, and Viva Engage.
  • Engagement: Develop and deliver communication plans that engage managers and colleagues at all levels.
  • Digital Skills: Maintain and improve our digital communication platforms, ensuring they are effective and user-friendly.
  • Feedback: Build mechanisms to gather feedback from colleagues and champion their voice in company initiatives.
  • Design: Create visually appealing materials using M365 and other creative software.
  • Metrics: Develop metrics to measure the effectiveness of our communication channels and continuously improve our approach.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure our communications are aligned with business needs.
  • Events: Oversee and manage digital live events and onsite events – monthly, ¼ and yearly conferences/company announcements/celebrations

Key Skills and Experience:

Our client needs someone who can come in and hit the ground running

  • Education: Degree level qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years in Internal Communications.
  • Communication: Excellent skills in crafting messages that are clear, concise, and engaging.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong ability to plan and manage time effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in all work.
  • Proactive: Able to work independently and take initiative.
  • Resilience: Calm under pressure and able to coach others.
  • Digital Channels: Viva Engage, Sharepoint, M365

Candidate must be within 1 hour travel distance to Warwick.
