We are supporting a leading organisation in the Midlands to lead a strategically critical PET-CT transformation programme. This is a highly visible role where you'll be empowered to shape, drive, and deliver change that will directly impact national diagnostic imaging capabilities.

The role: As the Programme Manager, you'll be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of a complex programme of work involving significant operational, technical and cultural change. You'll engage with internal and external stakeholders, influence at senior levels, and ensure the programme is structured, governed and delivered to achieve its stated business outcomes.?? Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strong, visible leadership and take full ownership of the PET-CT programme from initiation to completion.

  • Shape and implement the delivery framework - including team structure, governance, resource plans and approach.

  • Own the programme plan, including delivery timelines, resource allocation, and change management.

  • Manage a range of stakeholders (internal departments, third parties and clinical functions) to ensure alignment and accountability.

  • Establish robust governance and reporting mechanisms aligned with existing standards.

  • Proactively manage risks, issues, and interdependencies - ensuring they are visible and mitigated appropriately.

  • Lead and motivate a cross-functional team across business, technical, and clinical domains.

  • Manage and forecast the programme budget across multiple workstreams and sites.

  • Represent the programme in senior-level forums and contribute to wider organisational objectives and transformation projects.

?? About You:

You're a seasoned Programme Manager with a strong background in delivering complex, multi-site change in healthcare or regulated environments. You're confident navigating both operational and technology landscapes and bring a hands-on, outcomes-driven leadership style.

?? You'll need to demonstrate:
  • 7+ years' experience in programme and/or senior project management roles.

  • A proven track record of successfully delivering cross-functional programmes with significant operational and technological components.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills at all levels, including C-suite.

  • Solid understanding of governance frameworks, budgeting and programme controls.

  • Experience in managing third parties and matrixed delivery teams.

  • Knowledge of Agile delivery principles and modern project tools (e.g., Basecamp, MS Project).

  • Exceptional communication, organisational and leadership skills.

  • Background in healthcare/clinical environments advantageous but not essential.

Desirable
  • Previous PET-CT or diagnostic imaging programme experience (not essential, but helpful).

  • Formal qualifications (e.g. MSP, Prince2, Agile) or a relevant degree.
