About the Firm

An established and forward-thinking accountancy practice based in Washington is seeking a skilled Personal Tax Advisor to join their growing team. The firm supports a wide client base, from sole traders and partnerships to owner-managed businesses, and is known for delivering expert, personal, and proactive tax services. The team combines experience from both boutique firms and national accountancy practices.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with at least 1 year of experience in personal tax to manage a varied portfolio and build their career within a supportive, professional environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review self-assessment tax returns for individuals, including high-net-worth clients

  • Provide tailored tax planning and compliance advice

  • Act as a point of contact for clients and liaise with HMRC where required

  • Stay up to date with tax legislation changes and share relevant insights with the team

  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to deliver comprehensive client support

Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 years experience in personal tax within a practice environment

  • Professional qualification (or working towards) such as ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent

  • Solid understanding of UK personal tax legislation

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Comfortable using tax software and Microsoft Office tools
