Position: Van Driver Shifts: Ad hoc, Monday to Friday Time: 06:00 - 16:00 Location: Sunderland Pay: £12.71 per hour Payment: Weekly, every Friday
Start times are 06:00, with shifts typically lasting between 10 and 11 hours depending on the route. Each route consists of up to 15 deliveries per day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out multi-drop deliveries of flat-pack furniture to residential addresses across Sunderland and surrounding areas.
- Work closely with a partner driver or porter to ensure all deliveries are completed efficiently and safely.
- Handle goods carefully to avoid damage and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Complete all required delivery paperwork and reporting accurately.
- Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle at all times.
- Follow all road safety and health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points).
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Punctual, reliable, and professional in appearance and attitude.
- Previous experience in multi-drop or furniture delivery is desirable but not essential.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, starting at 6:00am until route completionÂ
