Job description:
Trinity Business Support are currently looking for a HGV 1 shunter driver for our Washington based client.
Due to a new automotive contract win, our client now requires an additional member of staff to join their ever-growing team.
Our client is a worldwide leader in the parts industry who supply various automotive manufacturers.
Duties will include:
- Shunting trailers between two sites
- Using tug and tractor units to place trailers on docks and within warehouse locations
- Following site guidelines and policies
- Securing loads for transit
- Completing company paperwork
- You will undertake a two-week training, working with the driver trainer to learn all the fundamentals of the role
Hours of Work:
- Rotating days and backshift
- Days 06.15-15.15 / Backs 16.00 - 01.00
- The first two weeks whilst training will be on dayshift
Pay:
- 16.00ph Monday to Friday
- 45hrs paid per week
- Odd Saturdays (only on dayshift) may be required - overtime paid at 24ph
Additional Information:
- Start date is Monday 18th September
- New passes accepted - pending a driver assessment being passed
- All applicants will be required to undertake a drug and alcohol test
