Jackson Hogg are delighted to be exclusively partnering with our well established client in the Washington/Sunderland area who due to continued growth and investment are looking to add a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to their team.
This is a day shift position, with excellent training and development opportunites. A clean, safety first environment to work in and afantastic team and company culture.
The business has invested substantially in new equipment so there will be a diversity of new projects to be a part of.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide electrical and mechanical maintenance
- Diagnose and repair breakdowns on CNC routers, edgebanders, saws, drills, wood burners, woodchippers, and dust extraction systems.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime.
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
- Keep accurate maintenance and service records.
Skills Required
- Ideally you will have expreience in the woodworking industry or similar
- Time-served Engineer
- 18th edition
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- PLC fault finding experience (advantageous but not essential).
- Flexible to provide cover out of hours when needed.
- Full UK driving license. This role will occasionally need to support other sites in Newcastle.(Company transport provided)
