Role Summary:
A leading meat processor and supplier to supermarkets, foodservice, and restaurants seeks a Maintenance Manager to oversee an efficient engineering function at their Waterford Production site.
Responsibilities
- Implement KPIs for planned and preventative maintenance.
- Manage maintenance costs within budget.
- Lead and coach the engineering team during breakdowns and repairs.
- Direct daily operations, prioritize projects, and assign tasks.
- Plan scheduled work and respond to unforeseen activities.
- Utilize internal and external resources effectively.
- Manage third-party contracts and communicate costs and SLAs.
- Develop proactive maintenance strategies to improve reliability.
- Promote employee motivation, training, and development.
- Maintain site utilities (electricity, water, air, refrigeration).
Criteria
- 4+ years in a similar role, preferably in food manufacturing.
- Time-served or third-level qualification in mechanical or electrical discipline.
- Experience managing large engineering teams.
- Proven track record in project management.
- Strong people management skills.
- Highly motivated and proactive.
- IT literate.
