Role Summary:
A leading meat processor and supplier to supermarkets, foodservice, and restaurants seeks a Maintenance Fitter for technical support at their Waterford Production site. This is a day shift role with optional overtime hours paid at 1.5x.
Responsibilities
- Execute maintenance strategies to meet performance goals.
- Support production schedules and resolve issues promptly.
- Inspect machines and equipment for standards compliance.
- Complete work orders safely and adhere to company procedures.
- Upload job details using mobile field technology.
- Develop knowledge of site mechanical equipment.
- Complete paperwork accurately.
- Follow Health and Safety regulations.
- Undertake training and review SOPs for compliance.
Criteria
- Time-served Mechanical, Automation & Maintenance Fitter (MAMF) with 3+ years post-apprenticeship experience.
- Experience with machines, process equipment, controls, and automation.
- Skilled in electrical/mechanical installations, maintenance, and refrigeration systems.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Good troubleshooting ability.
- Full driving license.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to working hours (shift work, overtime, on-call).
