Role description:

As a Data Analyst, you will play a vital role in driving data transformation, data extraction, and reporting across our product portfolio. Collaborating with Product Management and other stakeholders, you will gather data requirements, analyse structures, validate integrity, and ensure reliable data pipelines. Your work will also support system data integration, troubleshooting, and continuous data quality assurance.

By delivering accurate, timely, and well-structured insights through dashboards and reports, you will enable informed decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and elevate the customer experience—contributing directly to the success of our retail products.

You are also responsible for ensuring all work complies with relevant security and data protection standards, keeping user data safe and protecting our systems against vulnerabilities.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Contribute to the data analysis efforts to support Swan's Products modelling and decision-making processes.
  • Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and scripts using PostgreSQL and OLAP database (i.e. Snowflake).
  • Utilise Data Visualization tools (i.e. AWS QuickSight, Power BI, JasperReports, etc) to create and manage reports, data extractions, visualisations and dashboards.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular data validation and cleansing.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and financial modelling.
  • You embrace the roadmap, support its evolution, and deliver to the best of your ability, with quality and speed in balance.
  • Proactive communication with internal teams and clients is essential. You must clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences, flag risks early, and contribute to discussions on scope and timelines.
Required skills and experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in SQL, with experience in MSSQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Experience with ETL tools, preferably Talend.
  • Basic understanding of OLAP concepts and data warehousing principles.
  • Familiarity with Python for data manipulation and scripting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in agile environments and working with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira).

  • Developers and Analysts must also be ready to maintain and enhance legacy systems that may rely on older technologies or deprecated frameworks as part of our product portfolio.
Nice to have:
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Understanding of data governance and security best practices.
  • Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows (CI/CD).
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and scalability principles.
  • Knowledge of Java programming.
