MCG Recruitment are proud to helping our client find a Chef Manager to run the kitchen at their Watford Care home that centres everything on their residents. As well as providing a comfortable, friendly setting, our kitchen is truly the hub of the home and we are looking for a candidate who can become part of the team!

We are looking for a Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to join the Kitchen Team.
If you are flexible, reliable and able to prepare, plan and cook healthy, nutritious meals taking into account our residents' needs and dietary requirements, then we want to hear from you!
37  hours per week with alternate weekends off. 
 
This role includes weekend work on a rota basis.
Applicants must be over 18 years of age.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals for meal service.
  • Provide for special dietary requirements where necessary.
  • Ensure statutory Health and Safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Liaise with the Home Manager when planning menus in order to provide a balanced nutritious diet, making the best use of available fresh food.
  • Weekly stock ordering.
  • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures within the defined timescales
  • Ensure all equipment is clean and well maintained on a daily basis.
  • Carry out any other tasks that may be reasonably assigned to you
Person Specification
  • Experience of working in a catering environment
  • Food/Hygiene certificate and/or City and Guilds qualification or equivalent is essential.
  • Good Communication Skills
