One to One Personnel is proud to be working with our global brand client who is looking to hire a Customer Service & Operations Assistant to join their team at their head offices based in Watford.
To be considered for this role you are required to have 2-3 years previous experience working in the wholesale retail customer service environment.
Experience/Skills required
- Relevant industry experience – preferably 2-3 years
- Ideally have worked with known retailers, Next, Debenhams, JD Sports, etc
- Self-motivated, able to manage own workload and be a team player
- Highly competent IT skills - Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Would be able to pick up using the company ERP system quickly
- Paying attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Strong proactive work ethic
- Self-starter and solution-oriented and able to manage own workload
- Willingness to learn
Roles and Responsibilities
- Follow up and track customer Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely processing
- Send POs to factories and sales order confirmations (SOCs) to customers
- Communicate and resolve any queries on orders with customers and factories
- Upload styles, sales orders (SOs), and POs in the ERP system and continue to maintain
- Perform housekeeping tasks in the ERP system to ensure accurate and up-to-date data
- Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely shipments and deliveries
- Monitor delivery schedules and update customers on any delays or issues
- Provide barcodes and packing and shipping instructions to factories
- Process stock into inventory, allocate orders, raise picking tickets and invoices
- Send weekly order books to the customers and chase them for booking
- Provide customers with requested data
- Process customer booking forms and communicate delivery schedule with warehouses
- Access and maintain customer data base and portals where appropriate
- Advise customers on order status, delivery delays, and any related issues
- Address queries from credit control and finance departments
- Ensure accurate and efficient reporting throughout each sales season
- Work with factories and shipping departments on salesman samples
- Support the Operations team and sales team with ad-hoc tasks related to sales and purchase orders
- Assist with any additional tasks related to customer order management, sales support, and internal operations
