Join a global beauty brand as a Senior Shipping & Logistics Coordinator. This well-established company, known for supplying design-led, commercial beauty products to international retailers, is seeking a proactive logistics professional to take ownership of the end-to-end shipping process. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for placing accurate supplier orders, ensuring all pricing and contracts are confirmed, and overseeing the smooth, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods.Key responsibilities will include:
- Placing orders with factories and ensuring prices and delivery terms are signed off and documented
- Coordinating global shipments from factories / suppliers, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of stock
- Reviewing and approving PI’s, coordinating with relevant teams for delivery timelines
- Preparing and managing shipment documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and GRNs
- Booking deliveries into the ERP system and communicating stock availability internally
- Liaising with account managers to coordinate FOB shipments and communicate with customers on delivery schedules
- Working closely with the warehouse to manage incoming stock and ensure efficient product flow
- Negotiating with freight partners to secure competitive rates to optimise shipping costs
- Analysing performance of shipping partners and suppliers, feeding back insights through internal KPIs
- Running weekly cross functional shipping meetings, updating on orders/delivery timelines
- Supporting the wider product team, contributing ideas to improve supply chain efficiency
- Handling client communications where necessary, providing updates on delivery status and resolving shortfalls
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a shipping, logistics – must have worked in house for a product-based company/brand as opposed to a shipping company or freight forwarder
- Strong understanding of international shipping processes and documentation
- Confident working with freight forwarders, especially for shipments from the Far East
- Experience working with tariffs and commodity codes
- Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and a self-starter who can work independently and spot process improvements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments
- Experience using ERP systems and confident in Excel and MS Office
- Purchasing experience (order placement) is a bonus
