Teaching Assistant – Watford
Salary: £85 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Long Term
Start Date: September 2025
We are currently working with a well-regarded junior school in Watford that is passionate about delivering high-quality education in a supportive, inclusive environment. They are now looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive impact in the classroom.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 2. You’ll work closely with class teachers and other support staff to help pupils access the curriculum, build confidence, and thrive both socially and academically.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Supporting the delivery of engaging and accessible lessons

Providing targeted support to individual pupils and small groups

Assisting with classroom organisation and resource preparation

Encouraging positive behaviour and pupil participation

Helping to monitor progress and feeding back to teachers

Contributing to a warm, inclusive, and safe classroom environment

Participating in training, staff meetings, and school events
What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with children in a school or similar setting

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A calm, patient, and proactive approach

An interest in supporting children’s learning and well-being
-
Basic understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum is a plus

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
