Supply Desk is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary School Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Watford, teaching Year 1. The position is available from May half term or September, depending on the candidate’s availability.

Job Description:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to a Year 1 class in line with the national curriculum
  • Work collaboratively with the Key Stage 1 team to plan and assess pupil progress
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes learning and wellbeing
  • Support the development of early literacy and numeracy skills
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through participation in events and extracurricular activities

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably Year 1
  • Be creative, organised, and passionate about early years education
  • Show a commitment to inclusive practice and supporting all learners
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
  • Be proactive, adaptable, and a team player
  • Hold a clear DBS check or be willing to apply for one
