Early Years Primary Teacher | Primary School in Watford | Long-Term, Full-Time

Supply Desk is currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Primary Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Watford. The role is a long-term, full-time position, offering an excellent opportunity to inspire young learners and make a real impact in the early stages of their education. Job Description:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that are appropriate for the early years curriculum, ensuring all children make progress.
  • Create a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment where children feel supported, valued, and encouraged to explore and develop.
  • Foster children's social, emotional, and cognitive development, ensuring they are prepared for the next stages of their educational journey.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, providing regular feedback to parents and staff on their development.
  • Support children with their personal, social, and emotional skills, helping them develop independence and positive relationships with peers and adults.
  • Be actively involved in the wider school community, including attending staff meetings, school events, and engaging with parents and carers.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning in the early years.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified Early Years Teacher with a passion for working with young children 
  • Have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and the developmental needs of young children.
  • Be creative, adaptable, and able to plan and deliver lessons that are engaging and inclusive.
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be comfortable working with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Be patient, empathetic, and committed to providing high-quality support to young children in their learning and development.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills, maintaining a positive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a clear DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
  • Have or be willing to undertake additional training in relevant areas such as safeguarding and first aid.
