4Site are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our client, a well-known high-end residential main contractor specialising in luxury refurbishments and new build projects across London.

Role Overview

This is an office-based role located in North London, with occasional site visits to projects in Central London. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting the commercial team on high-value residential projects. Working closely with senior surveyors, you’ll assist in managing budgets, procurement, and contract administration, gaining invaluable experience in a fast-paced, high-end environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing cost plans, budgets, and progress reports

  • Support tendering and subcontractor procurement processes

  • Monitor and record project costs, valuations, and payments

  • Maintain accurate contract documentation and correspondence

  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients under senior guidance

  • Help resolve commercial queries and ensure contract compliance

  • Support risk management and cost control initiatives

Candidate Profile
  • 2-3 years minimum experience working as a quantity surveyor
  • Educational background or experience in quantity surveying

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with willingness to learn commercial software

  • A proactive and professional approach to work
