Role OverviewIn this long-term position, you will:

Teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential KS5 teaching depending on experience.

Deliver engaging, knowledge-rich lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking.

Differentiate teaching to support diverse learner needs.

Deliver regular assessments, track progress, and prepare students for GCSE History.

Contribute to curriculum development and cross-curricular projects within the Humanities faculty.

Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.

Support school behaviour policies and promote positive learning attitudes.

Participate in extracurricular activities and wider school life.

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure strong outcomes.

QTS or equivalent overseas teaching qualification.

Degree in History or a related Humanities subject.

Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 History.

Strong subject knowledge and a passion for making History engaging and relevant.

Effective classroom management and high expectations for student behaviour.

Commitment to safeguarding and student well-being.

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
