The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality Religious Education to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 depending on experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and thoughtful Religious Education lessons across KS3 and KS4, with potential for KS5 teaching depending on experience

  • Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students

  • Track student progress, provide regular feedback, and implement strategies for improvement

  • Prepare students for GCSE exams with targeted teaching and revision sessions

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and initiatives within the RE department

  • Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning

  • Maintain effective classroom management in line with the school's behaviour policies

  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and school events

  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents to support student development

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent overseas teaching qualification

  • Degree in Religious Education or a related subject

  • Proven experience teaching Religious Education in a secondary school setting

  • A passion for the subject and the ability to inspire students

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills

  • Commitment to promoting student wellbeing and safeguarding

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
