We are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Watford, celebrated for its strong academic results, inclusive values, and supportive learning community.

The school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team full-time from September 2025. This role welcomes both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about making science engaging, accessible, and relevant for all students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Science to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, ideally specialising in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics

  • Deliver interactive, practical lessons that encourage curiosity and scientific inquiry

  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom where students feel motivated to explore and ask questions

  • Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and monitor progress

  • Support curriculum development and resource preparation

  • Guide students through GCSE coursework and revision sessions

  • Promote participation in extracurricular science activities and STEM initiatives

  • Engage with the school community and contribute to school life

Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (strong unqualified candidates may be considered)

  • Experience teaching secondary-level Science

  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for science education

  • Creative, engaging, and student-centred teaching approach

  • Effective classroom management and ability to build a supportive learning environment

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
