A well-known further education college group is seeking to recruit a DevOps Engineer with good Windows Systems Administrator experience and Networking expertise to start as soon as possible on a permanent basis at the college.This role is an exciting opportunity to learn and expand on pre existing networking engineer / systems administration experience. You will have the chance to progress your skills across DevOps and increase your experience quickly in a supportive environment.On a daily basis, the role will consist of being 60% Windows System administration and 40% network engineering experience. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of networking experience, working with servers and be confident in setting up networks. You will be CCNA level qualified as a minimum and be confident with Cisco switches.Reporting to the Head of DevSecOps, you will work with the Senior Infrastructure Engineer, supporting the development, direction, and delivery of IT services covering College infrastructure, including on-premise, SaaS and Cloud services across storage, network, firewalls, and management systems.On a daily basis, you will work with infrastructure, applications support and deskside support colleagues to provide infrastructure support for all the College Group core and non-core IT systems, including user management, system upgrades, patching, releases, and fault resolution.Technical skills required: Cisco networking, Firewalls, Windows Server systems administration, AD, Virtualisation, Microsoft 365 / Azure, Intune, IP telephony, Power Shell, SCCM and Intune.This is a full time, permanent position, working 37 hours per week at the Watford campus though you will also need to be able to travel to Luton and Hemel to other campus sites when required.You will have the full support of a dynamic team and opportunities to bring your ideas to the role.
