Interaction Education are pleased to be working with a great school in the Watford area in their search for an SEN teacher.
This is a full time, long term contract position and will be paid dependent on experience. Key responsibilities can be found below:
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of students.

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, parents, and outside agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

Provide a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued.

Regularly monitor and track student progress and adapt teaching strategies as needed.

Support students with personal care and social development as appropriate.

Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
Essential Criteria:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience working with children with special educational needs.
-
Strong understanding of SEN policies and best practices.
-
Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
-
Ability to differentiate and adapt lessons to meet diverse needs.
-
Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Desirable Criteria:
-
Experience with specific SEN needs such as Autism, Dyslexia, or ADHD.
-
Relevant postgraduate qualifications in Special Education or SEN.

Familiarity with assistive technology in the classroom.
